A letter to whoever finds themselves here,
If you have arrived here, we probably share something.
Maybe curiosity about the world.
Maybe the desire to build something meaningful.
Or maybe the belief that business, when done well, can be a force that moves things forward.
My name is Lorenzo Pereira.
At my core, I see myself as a bridge.
A bridge between cultures, between ideas, between people who would otherwise never meet. Bridges are quiet structures. They don’t demand attention, yet without them movement stops. Trade stops. Understanding stops. Progress stops.
Building bridges between Asia and Europe, between business and culture, between vision and execution has become a recurring theme in both my life and my work.
I am a generalist by nature. Not because I lack focus, but because the most meaningful problems rarely belong to one discipline. Strategy touches psychology. Sales touches trust. Branding touches identity. International business touches culture, timing and human behavior. The real world exists in the connections between them, and that is where I operate best.
Over the past years I have worked across sales, marketing, purchasing and account management, often within the food and international trade industry. I have helped brands enter new markets, supported companies in building distribution across Europe, and worked closely with both Asian manufacturers and European retailers. This includes hands on commercial roles as well as more strategic work such as positioning, go to market thinking and relationship building at scale.
In my role as Key Account Manager I have been responsible for growing accounts, negotiating deals and maintaining long term partnerships. Alongside that, through Asiancy, I work with companies that want to expand from Asia into Europe, helping them navigate not just the commercial side, but also the cultural and strategic layer that often determines success or failure.
Beyond that, I enjoy being involved in conversations and environments where ideas are exchanged. This can take the form of coaching, panel discussions, public speaking, or hosting events where people from different backgrounds come together. I value spaces where perspectives meet and something new can emerge from that interaction.
Philosophically, I sometimes describe myself as an egotistical utilitarian.
Not in a cynical sense, but in a practical one. I believe that by building my own capabilities, network, resources and understanding of the world, I increase the amount of good I can ultimately contribute. Strength creates leverage, and leverage creates impact.
In other words, I believe that building meaningful things, whether that is businesses, relationships or systems, allows us over time to give back more than we take.
Curiosity, independence, responsibility, cultural awareness and the urge to build bridges are the forces that drive me. I have often been described as a world improver. Today I try to translate that into something tangible. Less idealism on its own, more execution behind it.
If you are working on something that requires a broader perspective, someone who can connect dots, build relationships and move between strategy and execution, there is a good chance we will get along.
If you would like to collaborate, whether that is in international business, sales, coaching, speaking or simply exchanging ideas, feel free to reach out.
